I happened to see a review of the PSP rerelease of Valkyrie Profile in a gaming magazine around the time the game came out in 2006. I had already been planning on getting a PSP, but I was intrigued enough by Valkyrie Profile to go ahead and buy it. It was a very spur-of-the-moment decision, and in hindsight I was lucky that VP turned out to be one of my favorite games of all time, given how much it cost!
Not that I was any good at it — I completely screwed up my first playthrough and had to start over. Still, in the years since, I've played the game about 5 or 6 times, beaten it multiple times on hard and completed all of the hard dungeons, completed the Seraphic Gate, recruited all of the einherjar, and so forth. The only problem is that every time I replay it, I find myself going for the best ending, rather than actually seeing the other endings! Oops.
The site title comes from one of the songs on the OST (listen here) that often plays right before boss confrontations. This layout, version two, uses patterns from chamberten (defunct) and subtlepatterns.
I'm happy to affiliate with any fanlisting related to Valkyrie Profile, as well as any other JRPG. Contact me if you're interested.
